Welborn Family Bookkeeping LLC ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy is designed to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

Financial records: bank statements, credit card statements, loan documents, receipts, cash logs, and related business financial information you provide as part of our bookkeeping services
Billing information: payment details processed through our third-party payment processor (we do not store full card numbers)
Website usage data: pages visited, browser type, and general analytics collected through standard website tools


2. How We Use Your Information
To provide monthly bookkeeping services, including transaction categorization, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
To communicate with you about your account, deliverables, and service updates
To process payments for services
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations, including record retention requirements
We do not use your financial information for any purpose other than providing the services you have engaged us to perform.


3. How We Protect Your Financial Information
As a bookkeeping service provider, we handle sensitive business financial data and apply safeguards consistent with industry standards for financial service providers, including:
Secure, access-controlled cloud accounting platforms (such as QuickBooks Online) for all client financial data
Encrypted document transfer and storage for statements and records
Access limited to authorized personnel directly involved in providing your service
Password management and multi-factor authentication on all systems containing client data

4. Information Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal or financial information. We do not share your information except in these limited circumstances:
With your CPA, tax preparer, or other professional advisor, only with your prior authorization
With service providers necessary to deliver our services, such as Intuit (QuickBooks Online) and our payment processor, each bound by their own confidentiality and security obligations
As required by law, court order, subpoena, or other legal process

5. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
Request access to the personal information we hold about you
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal record retention requirements that apply to bookkeeping records
Request correction of inaccurate personal information
Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the end of this policy. We will respond within the timeframes required by California law.

6. Do Not Track Disclosure
Our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. This disclosure is provided in accordance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

7. Cookies
Our website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to engage our services.

8. Data Retention
We retain client engagement records and financial work product for seven (7) years in accordance with standard bookkeeping industry practice and applicable record retention requirements. Information no longer required is securely deleted.

9. Children's Privacy
Our services and website are intended for business owners and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
