Refund Policy

We stand behind our work. This Refund Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for Welborn Family Bookkeeping LLC services. This policy is provided in accordance with California consumer protection law, including California's Automatic Renewal Law (Business and Professions Code Section 17600 et seq.).

1. Monthly Billing and Automatic Renewal Disclosure
Our bookkeeping services are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until cancelled. By signing our Engagement Letter and providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. In accordance with California's Automatic Renewal Law:
The recurring monthly fee and billing date are clearly stated in your Engagement Letter before any charge is made
You may cancel at any time using the simple cancellation methods described below
We will notify you in advance of any change to your monthly fee

2. How to Cancel
You may cancel your monthly service at any time by sending written notice via text message or email to the contact information below. Cancellation requires 30 days written notice as set forth in your Engagement Letter. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term contracts.

3. Monthly Service Fee Refunds
If you cancel before services for a billing period have begun, you will receive a full refund of that period's fee
If services for the current billing period are already in progress, no refund will be issued for that period, and you will not be charged for any subsequent periods

4. Service Delivery Guarantee
If we fail to deliver your monthly financial reports (Profit & Loss Statement and Balance Sheet) within the timeframe stated in your Engagement Letter due to an error on our part, we will refund that month's fee in full.
This guarantee does not apply when the delay results from the client's failure to provide required documentation, bank statements, account access, or cash logs by the agreed deadline, as described in the Engagement Letter.

5. One-Time Cleanup or Onboarding Fees
If your engagement includes a one-time cleanup or onboarding fee, that fee is fully refundable if work has not yet commenced. Once cleanup work has begun, the fee becomes non-refundable, as professional services already performed cannot be returned.

6. How to Request a Refund
Contact us by text or email with your name, business name, and a brief description of your request. We will review and respond within three (3) business days. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method within five (5) to ten (10) business days.

7. Billing Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us directly before initiating a chargeback. We are committed to resolving billing issues fairly and promptly. Unresolved disputes will be handled through mediation in Contra Costa County, California, consistent with the dispute resolution terms in your Engagement Letter.
